HANDCOP® Counter Escape Restraint

Developed in 2015 to meet the demands of law enforcement professionals worldwide.

When applied correctly, the HANDCOP® is the most secure non-metallic restraint available.

The HANDCOP® is designed to be worn on your person.

For wrist carry, simply place one hand inside both loops, cinch to your wrist size (not too tight, not too loose), wrap the excess cord around your wrist, and then tuck in the diamond stopper knot to secure. It can also be worn on a belt or attached to equipment, allowing multiple units to be carried and accessed.

To deploy, first remove the HANDCOP® from your wrist. Fully extend the loops and apply them to the detained person’s wrists (stacked). Cinch both loops closed, check for proper tightness, and then secure with an overhand knot to double-lock.

Observe the detained person at all times.

HANDCOP® K-1000

New for 2026, the HANDCOP® K-1000 by OSCARDELTA SPD is our most advanced HANDCOP® to date.

The K-1000 features a 12-plait braided DuPont® Kevlar® inner core that is inherently flame-retardant, enabling it to withstand higher temperatures before degrading. It also offers excellent resistance to acids and good resistance to alkalis and abrasion.

The Kevlar® braided core is contained within a U.S. Government contractor-grade 550 paracord outer sleeve, available in Black, Red, and Coyote Brown.

The HANDCOP® K-1000 can be worn comfortably 24/7 in all environments, ensuring it is always on your person when required.
